The Raven Rock Ramble is a 100-mile bicycle ride around聽 that explores the counties of Wake, Harnett, Lee and Chatham. The annual event promotes organ donation awareness and the proceeds go to the聽,聽for direct patient services.
This year鈥檚 event took place on August 22, raising approximately $30,000. It first began in 2002, and since then has brought in nearly $400,000 for the 黑料网 Kidney Center.
David Massicotte-Azarniouch, MD, MSC, a GN fellow in the division of nephrology and hypertension, was one of 620 riders who participated.
鈥淭his was my first time participating in the Raven Rock Ramble, and it was a chance to do a great cycling event for a great cause. What more could I ask for?鈥� he said.
