Geargin B. Wilson, MD
Assistant Professor of Medicine
Areas of Interest
HIV, long acting injectable antiretroviral therapy, antimicrobial stewardship, complicated intraabdominal infections
About
While I love many aspects of infectious diseases, the two that have been my areas of focus have been HIV and antimicrobial stewardship. I am passionate about the wrap around care we area able to provide HIV patients and have particular interest in the area of long acting injectable medications for both convenience to patients seeking an alternative route of therapy or engaging individuals with social determinants of health that make taking daily medications challenging. Within antimicrobial stewardship, I am interested chiefly in the management of complicated intraabdominal infections and urinary tract infections as well as the most effective methods for educating non-infectious diseases providers on optimal stewardship practices.
