Most patients referred to our clinic are appropriate for evaluation and management by one of our general cardiology providers. We evaluate and manage patients with a wide variety of problems or diagnoses including, but not limited to, the problems listed below.<\/p>\n

We frequently evaluate patients with severe congestive heart failure for a number of advanced therapies including heart transplant, left ventricular assist device, or home IV inotrope infusion.<\/p>\n Providers should consider a referral to our advanced heart failure team for patients with severely reduced ejection fraction, multiple hospital admissions over the past 6-12 months, refractory volume overload, difficulty or failure to tolerate traditional medical therapy for congestive heart failure.<\/p>\n Our Team: <\/strong><\/span>Kirkwood Adams<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Mirnela Byku<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Patricia Chang<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>David Ishizawar,<\/span><\/a> Brian Jensen<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Tammy Long<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>William Mostertz<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> Elizabeth Volz<\/span><\/a>, Sarah Waters<\/a>, Yajun French, Emily Baker,<\/a> Megan Andrews<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\nMultidisciplinary Structural\/Valve Clinic<\/span> Our multidisciplinary structural heart team consists of interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and advanced imaging specialists who work together to evaluate and manage patients with severe valvular heart disease.
