ºÚÁÏÍø has been a leader in North Carolina for Women’s Cardiovascular health. A natural progression for the ºÚÁÏÍø Division of Cardiology is establishing the Paula Miller Women’s Heart fellowship.

Establishing a Women’s Heart Fellowship will continue ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s history of promoting women’s cardiovascular health.  ºÚÁÏÍø will offer a one-year non-ACGME-accredited advanced fellowship training. The program will provide focused and comprehensive training on health issues outside the traditional cardiovascular curriculum.   The program will provide training in cardio-obstetrics, rheumatology, adult congenital heart disease, endocrinology, vascular disease and cardiovascular prevention. The faculty will include members from Cardiology and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The program will provide the trainee with the knowledge and skills for a successful career both in practice, and in the ability to train women’s heart fellows in the future.
