In February, . These changes were implemented by NSF in May 2024 and NIH will implement on applications due May 25, 2025 or later. Resources developed by OSP can be found .

Major changes include:

  • Applicants/recipients will be required to obtain an ORCID ID and enter it into the Persistent Identifier (PID) section of the Common Forms. They will also be required to link their ORCID ID to their eRA Commons Personal Profile.
  • Require all applicants/recipients to use Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae (SciENcv) for completing the Biosketch and Other Support forms and certifying the new required information.
  • Updates to Other Support requirements including certification and refined reporting of consulting and in-kind resources

Please prepare for these changes in advance by:

  • Registering for an ORCID ID. You can register for and link your ORCID ID to your ºÚÁÏÍø PID
  • Visiting the to familiarize yourself with the common form templates and the SciENVcv portal used to generate the forms.
