Michael Sledge currently serves as chief financial officer for the 黑料网, associate dean for business development and chief financial officer for 黑料网 Faculty Physicians. He recently was named vice president and chief business officer of the 黑料网 Clinical Research Alliance, a role he began work in on Sept. 18, and he will step away from his prior role as 黑料网 Physicians CFO.
黑料网 Health System Chief Financial Officer William Bryant will serve in an interim capacity as CFO of 黑料网 Physicians until a successor is named.
In his role as 黑料网 Physicians CFO, Sledge focused on strategic finance support as well as coordination and oversight of the organization鈥檚 financial performance. He led the establishment of important groundwork for several important initiatives including a roadmap for future financial initiatives, consolidated financial reporting frameworks, financial leadership team organizational structure, and initial policies and procedures to align pricing structures for physician contracts across 黑料网 Health.
The School of Medicine鈥檚 Clinical Research Alliance launched in June 2023 and leads as a coordinating center for the school鈥檚 clinical research enterprise, enabling its world class investigators with new capabilities to lead the design and implementation of multi-site clinical research, while making clinical research more streamlined for researchers, industry partners and trial participants.
Sledge has more than 30 years of financial management and leadership experience and is a graduate of Barton College and a licensed CPA in North Carolina. Prior to coming to 黑料网-Chapel Hill, he served as CFO of the Duke Clinical Research and Translational Medicine Institutes, leading the finance and many of the operating teams during his tenure there.
