The (NCAPA) Endowment has awarded its first-ever scholarship earmarked for a 黑料网 Physician Assistant Studies student to Alyse Moses-Lebron, a second-year student. Since the late 1990s, the endowment has provided scholarships to students to have completed their first year of PA education.
鈥淚 am flattered to receive the NCAPA scholarship,鈥 Moses-Lebron said. While I will miss all of my classmates, mentors, and preceptors, I am excited to graduate and to begin practice as a PA.鈥
A student from each PA program in North Carolina is eligible to receive this award, given annually. Students are evaluated by a scholarship on characteristics such as extracurricular activities, volunteer service, leadership and academic achievement as well as financial need.
鈥淢oses-Lebron has truly excelled thus far in her academic and professional activities, exhibiting leadership in her community by mentoring high school students and by helping the 黑料网 PA program become integrated into the Student Health Action Coalition,鈥 said Suzanne Reich, an endowment trustee with the NCAPA.
By awarding this scholarship, Reich and NCAPA colleges recognized Moses-Lebron鈥檚 work organizing food drives, providing first-aid services to those affected by flooding, and helping students who have emergent needs.
鈥淚t’s been a privilege to be a part of the聽黑料网 PA Program’s inaugural class,鈥 Moses-Lebron said.
