The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), along with its board of ethics, has recognized second-year master’s degree student Audrey McMillion as the second-place recipient of the contest. Her essay, titled “The Ethics of Providing Interpretation and Translation Services for IEP Meetings,” focuses on ethical considerations for individualized educational programs for a fictive family that needs speech and language services.

As this year’s recipient, McMillion received a one-year membership to the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, among other recognition.
