The 黑料网 Department of Allied Health Sciences celebrated National Allied Health Professions week from November 5 until November 9. The week is designed to raise awareness about careers in the health professions.
The Department of Allied Health Sciences will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2021. It houses seven divisions across the health care spectrum. Dynamic programs, centers, and office provide exemplary teaching, innovative research, and patient-centered clinical care to North Carolinians and beyond. Stephen Hooper, PhD, is the department鈥檚 chair; he is also an associate dean in the 黑料网.
Graduate programs in the DAHS are among the most highly ranked, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Metrics that matter
- 95 percent of graduates reported working in a position related to their degree.
- 77 percent of enrolled students are North Carolinians.
- 35 percent of students are first-generation college students.
- 71 percent of 2016 graduates work in 16 different counties across North Carolina, a distance of more than 300 miles.
- The DAHS is comprised of nearly 80 faculty and nearly 500 students.
