Congratulations to GMB student Kylie VanDerMolen (Rob Dowen lab), whose paper will be published in the January 28 issue of Cell Reports.

The paper is titled “Non-cell-autonomous regulation of mTORC2 by Hedgehog signaling maintains lipid homeostasis”. Kylie’s study employed C. elegans and mammalian cells to investigate mechanisms of crosstalk between the Hedgehog developmental signaling and two homeostatic pathways – mTORC2 and p38. This signaling axis simultaneously governs growth rate and lipid homeostasis in C. elegans.
