Shawn Ahmed, PhD (Professor, Department of Genetics, Department of Biology), was awarded an administrative supplement to his R01 titled 鈥淪mall RNAs and telomere biology鈥� from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to purchase a state-of-the-art Leica Thunder Imager for quantitative fluorescent microscopy work in his lab. Dr. Ahmed鈥檚 supplement will be combined with a supplement awarded to Dr. Rob Dowen (Assistant Professor, Department of Biology, Department of Cell Biology & Physiology) for the new microscope.
