Kerstin Baran obtained her BS in Biology from The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ and her ScM in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to starting her position as a Research Project Manager at the Department of Genetics, she received her MSc in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her thesis work at 黑料网 focused on implementing spatial transcriptomic technology to intestinal lymphatic biology. Her extensive experience in a broad range of biological research fields makes her adapt at serving the diverse research projects of the department faculty. 聽Kerstin works with Dr. Sarah Schoenrock, the Director of Research Project Management, and the research faculty to provide support for large team scientific grants within the department.

Examples of Grant Project Management services I can provide:

  • Monitor progress of grant objectives and deliverables
  • Technical and scientific writing (IRB applications, publications, data/resource sharing)
  • Coordinate communication and meetings among research groups
  • Assist with development and submission of RPPR鈥檚 and grant renewals
  • Support monitoring of grant financials
