It was good to catch up at our favorite local eatery, Hawkers! We feasted on Baos, haw fun, pad thai, soup dumplings. Emily let us know that she was interviewed on the People’s Pharmacy (see separate posting). Lee-Ching qualified at the Chapel Hill and North Carolina level in Badminton so will proceed to National Senior games in Des Moines in July. Zev’s softball team, which raises money for Girls on the Run, finished 5th out of 20 teams. Alice just finished shepherding our Med students through Residency match. Jen Tang only joined us briefly at Hawkers because she had to go to Pub Quiz. Neeta competed in the Ephesus pickleball tournament recently while I am still working on my game. All of this in addition to our regular work caring for patients. We are an accomplished bunch!

AAFA goes to Asian Kitchen! – 6/13/24 /facultyaffairs/2024/06/aafa-goes-to-asian-kitchen/ Fri, 14 Jun 2024 18:05:00 +0000 /facultyaffairs/2024/06/aafa-goes-to-asian-kitchen/ Read more]]> AAFA goes to Asian Kitchen! Alex, Zev, Lee, Karina, Emily, and I (Linda) had dinner at Asian Kitchen. The restaurant has changed ownership and now features hand pulled noodles ( see man in window!). The foodies Alex and Emily had been there before and knew what to order. We had tripe (I don’t eat regularly but thought it was delicious), cold cucumbers, water spinach, their specialty green beans, Hunan pork. We didn’t try their specialty duck blood, gizzards, or intestines (no feet on menu) but maybe we can try on our next outing… I’m game! We all had shaved noodle (hand-pulled) soup and took some home.
