This is the 3rd consecutive year in which members of the Department of Emergency Medicine have visited NC State鈥檚 campus to host a hands-on, interactive suture clinic and Q&A session with undergraduate students who have an interest in future medical careers. In each case, the sessions have been coordinated in conjunction with the MAPS chapter at NCSU.
鈥淲e were delighted to again have a chance to meet with students, answer their questions, and provide a fun and interactive activity that we hope encourages them to pursue their interest in medicine,鈥� said Dr. Halsey-Nichols.
鈥淭he students were especially interested in learning about different medical careers, discussing how to decide which career to pursue, and hearing specific tips about applying to medical school. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and know that they have bright futures, in whatever fields they pursue in the future.鈥�
