{"id":3628,"date":"2021-07-20T08:53:24","date_gmt":"2021-07-20T12:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/crso\/?p=3628"},"modified":"2022-02-22T15:59:57","modified_gmt":"2022-02-22T20:59:57","slug":"3628","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/crso\/2021\/07\/3628\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQs for PaTS System Profiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear SOM Clinical Research Community,<\/p>\n<p>Please take a moment to review the information about the PaTS system in prior announcements and complete your profile at <a href=\"https:\/\/apps2.research.unc.edu\/crso\/\">https:\/\/apps2.research.unc.edu\/crso\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All SOM faculty and staff involved in the conduct of human subjects research are asked to complete a profile no later than July 30<sup>th<\/sup>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>FAQs <\/u><\/p>\n<p>Q: If my research involves human subjects, but not necessarily considered \u201cclinical,\u201d do I still need to complete a profile?<\/p>\n<p>A: Yes, all SOM employees involved in the conduct of human subjects research should complete a profile.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Q: We have some medical students who help with our research studies, but they are not employees or SOM or ºÚÁÏÍøH. Do they need to complete a profile?<\/p>\n<p>A: No, only employees of SOM are asked to complete a profile at this time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Q: I support budget development, proposal development, and post-award grant management. Should I complete a profile?<\/p>\n<p>A: Yes, there is a section of the profile that asks about financial responsibilities that may be applicable to your position.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you have already completed your profile, <em>thank you<\/em>!
