Instrumentation Grant Panel for Core Facilities

We will be holding aÌýpanelÌýdiscussion onÌýOctober 12, 2023Ìýto discuss several of the extramuralÌýgrants that can be used to replace or addÌýinstrumentationÌýto cores. ThisÌýpanelÌýwill be led by subject matter experts: peer core directors who have successfully applied forÌýgrants or who have sat on study sections to evaluate theseÌýgrants.
°¿³Ü°ùÌýpanelists will be:
- Dr. Chun Hsing (Josh) Chen (Department of Chemistry X-Ray Core Facility) discussing the NSF MRI
- Dr. Pablo Airel (Microscopy Services Laboratory) discussing the NIH S10 mechanism
- Dr. Brandie Ehrmann (ATOMS Core – Previously the Department of Chemistry Mass Spectrometry Core)Ìý   discussing the DoD DURIP program and working with faculty members who want to placeÌýinstrumentationÌýin cores
- Dr. Ashutosh (Ash) Tripathy (Macromolecular Interactions Facility) discussing the NCBC IIGÌýgrant
- Dr. Paul Maddox (Associate Director, Department of Biology; William Burwell Harrison Scholar) discussing NIH study sections
If you are considering applying for an extramuralÌýinstrumentationÌýgrant, we encourage you to attend. If you are aware of faculty who are interested in learning more aboutÌýinstrumentationÌýgrants and how to partner with a core facility to obtain an instrument, please feel free to forward. Lunch will be provided for attendees who RSVP before October 1, 2023.
