Immune Functioning and Social Reward Processing in Autism (ARISE)
Description of Study
The purpose of this research study is to investigate the relationship between neural response to rewards, inflammation, autistic traits, and quality of life in adults, ages 18-40.
Recruiting Information
Participants will include healthy autistic and typically developing adults ages 18-40 years, without current immune-related or neurological conditions. Participation includes a clinical characterization visit, study questionnaires, and one electroencephalography (EEG) recording session at the Carolina Institute of Developmental Disabilities (CIDD). You will also provide a small blood sample at the Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC).
