Healthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD)
Description of Study
The HBCD Study is the largest long-term study of early brain and child development in the United States. The study will enroll a large number of families from across the US and follow them and their children through early childhood. The researchers want to better understand how the brain develops and is changed by exposure to substances and other environmental conditions.
Recruiting Information
Individuals in their 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy or those who have recently given birth and their babies. Families will be asked to participate in activities once during pregnancy and across several visits during early childhood. These activities include: assessments, biospecimens, biosensors, MRI, and EEG. You will be compensated for the time spent participating in the study.
