黑料网 CFAR’s Office of Community Engagement manager, Alicia Diggs, MPH, has been featured on the cover of POZ magazine and interviewed on her participation in the REPRIEVE Study. The Randomized Trial to Prevent Vascular Events in HIV (REPRIEVE) was a randomized trial studying the heart health of participants living with HIV. The REPRIEVE study demonstrated that women living with HIV face a higher risk for adverse cardiovascular events than HIV-negative women.
In her journey and fueled by her passion to enhance healthcare for women and people of color, Diggs is actively working to challenge and reform the current norms contributing to racial and sex differences within the American healthcare system.

Alicia Diggs, MPH, currently serves as the 黑料网 CFAR’s Office of Community Engagement (OCE) manager where she works to partner with community organizations. Through these partnerships, the OCE works to translate research findings into direct applications, to create mutual understandings of research, amplify community voices in research decision-making, and to support community-driven work around HIV/AIDS.
