September 1, 2012 – Dr. Kenneth Jacobson awarded funding from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences and the National Science Foundation

September 1, 2012 – Faculty member Dr. Kenneth Jacobsen, along with colleague Dr. Tim Elston in ’s Department of Pharmacology, will receive funding from the . Their project is titled”Cytoskeletal Oscillations: Mathematical Modeling Integrated with Experiments”

Dr. Jacobson has also been awarded a grant with Dr. Qi Wang at the University of South Carolina for the project “Collaborative Research: Experimentally guided mathematics for the mechanochemistry of cell shape dynamics.”
