The first social event for postdocs in our labs was held on July 29, 2022, with special thanks to the BCBP Postdoc Committee.
BCBP postdocs joined up with the 黑料网 Postdoc Association (PDA) for the event Fridays on the Front Porch at the Carolina Inn. PDA hosts a postdoc meetup at Fridays on the Front Porch at the end of each month in the summer and it’s a great opportunity to meet postdocs from other departments at 黑料网.
Our postdocs met in front of the Genetic Medicine building and walked over to the event together. In addition to the drinks and ice cream from the Carolina Inn, there was an excellent Arepas food truck.
It was a chill hang out – although, not literally, since it was the end of July and that means it’s hot and humid! The BCBP Postdoc Committee hopes to plan some more meet-ups at Postdoc Association social events in the future. — Kathryn Gunn PhD
