Congratulations to Dr. Lucia Stefanini, Research Assistant Professor of Biochemistry & Biophysics, who is a recipient of a University Research Council research grant award

The University Research Council (URC) of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill administers small grant programs for faculty in two forms: research and publication awards. The maximum award amount is $5,000 and eligible faculty applicants are tenure or tenure-track, hold research or clinical appointments, adjunct, lecturers, or instructors. Dr. Lucia Stefanini is a Research Assistant Professor of Biochemistry & Biophysics and she was awarded a to support her project on the 鈥淩ole of Rap1 Prenylation in Platelet Activation.鈥 These grants are often considered a stepping stone to extramural support.
