Dalia Tarek Fleifel receives the AACR Scholar-in-Training award
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) has announced that Dalia Tarek Fleifel has been awarded the prestigious AACR Scholar-in-Training Award. This recognition is based on the quality of her award application and her abstract titled “Unraveling c-MYC role in DNA replication origin licensing through non-canonical pathways.”
The award, funded by AbbVie through an Independent Educational Grant, amounts to $1450 USD. This grant is intended to recognize outstanding young investigators and support their attendance at the AACR Annual Meeting 2025, which was held from April 25-30, 2025, at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.
The funds were used to cover travel, registration and hotel stay expenses for the conference, allowing Dalia to present her research and engage with other experts in the cancer research field.
