She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University\, PhD at UC-Berkeley\, received her MD from Yale School of Medicine\, and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatric EM at ºÚÁÏÍø-Chapel Hill. She is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and has been engaged in educational leadership in many areas. She is co-director of medical student case-based learning and the ºÚÁÏÍø Academy of Educators president. She has previously served as Director of the ºÚÁÏÍø Office of Academic Excellence for the School of Medicine\, EM Associate Residency Director\, EM clerkship director\, and president of the Association for Professional Women in Medical Sciences. She also leads the national ACEP teaching fellowship for faculty and fellows in EM. Within the AOE\, she also co-directs the year-long FLAGship faculty development program. She has been a part of the AOE Leadership Council since its formation in 2018.
