DESCRIPTION:Participants will discuss and analyze important questions:\n\nWhat is Competency-Based Medical Education?\nHow much can I trust you?\nHow do I engage the learner?\nHow can I get started?\n\nAbstract:\nThe transformation from Flexnerian style educational structure toward competency-based medical education (CBME) has been suggested for almost 50 years\, but more recently has moved from hypothetical to reality.  With several medical specialties already making the transition\, it has become the expected target to moved toward in both undergraduate and graduate medical education.  This presentation will attempt to familiarize participants with the basics of CBME and give suggestions to help both UME and GME educators incorporate more CBME structure into their curriculum. \nSpeaker:\n\n\n \nRobert A.
