
ºÚÁÏÍø Anesthesiology is thrilled to congratulate CA-3 Joshua Pyant, MD, for serving as an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Resident Scholar at the the 119th Congress in early March. The ASA’s Executive Committee (EC) meets annually with congressional leadership to discuss federal budget deliberations and current health policy issues affecting the field of anesthesiology. This year, Dr. Pyant joined members of the ASA’s advocacy team in strategic meetings at the the 119th Congress that focused on ensuring patient care excellence and professional practice standard in the field of anesthesiology, including Medicare payment reform, No Surprises Act implementation, physician-led care for Veterans, and initiatives to alleviate resident debt burden.
