May-Lynn Andresen, DNP, RN is a doctorally-prepared nurse, who, inspired by her son, re-focused her career in 2000 to the autism and I/DD field. She is co-founder and a former director of the Fay J. Linder Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities and of the Westbrook Preparatory School, designed to repatriate students from out-of-state placements back to their communities. She is a devoted AASET Community Council member and serves as the Director of Community Partnerships at IEC. is a national non-profit aimed at making healthcare better for people with I/DD, so they can live life to the fullest.
